About: The Neo-Futurists are a collective of wildly prolific writer/director/performers who make theater that is honest, political and audience participatory. The company is best known for their late night Chicago performance, "Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind: 30 Plays in 60 Minutes". New plays are written, selelcted and rehearsed 50 weeks a year by a stable ensemble who also guide most of the administrative tasks of the company. And we do it all via a collaborative process that has been working for 19 years.

Sharon Greene has been a Neo-Futurist since 2003 and has been honored to serve as their Artistic Director from 2005-2007. She is also a Teaching Artist for About Face Youth Theater, and co-author of "The Home Project," a collaboritively made performance that guided young adults struggling with homelessness and sexual identity to make a play that educated the adults around them about their lives. She received her undergraduate education from Northwestern University.

Anthony Decanini:

I was really impressed with the level of concurrent flexibility, ownership, and accountability in your process. Also if you get that pizza thing figured out, let me know.
